An Arsenal shirt (98 double winning team) framed with deep rebated black, high gloss moulding and cream mountboard, which is padded with spacers to avoid the glass touching the shirt – this will prevent the shirt getting any condensation on it and going mouldy.
The shirt is pinned to foamboard which means it will hold its shape without ever being damaged. This is the most conservation friendly method for framing jerseys. A lot of cheaper methods involve carpet tape and while you can’t see it, there will be nasty stains on your jersey, significantly damaging the value of the jersey.
I do all of the jerseys I receive this way because it, not only looks great but also preserves the shirt for generations and covers the framer’s mantra, do the artwork no harm!
